Juneyao AirlinesCathay Pacific announced its first-half 2026 results, with net profit of HK$6.243 billion, a year-on-year surge of 71%, and revenue of HK$68.06 billion, up 25.3% year-on-year. Group Chairman Patrick Healy said at the interim results briefing that the geopolitical conflict in the Middle East had instead increased transit passenger traffic through Hong Kong, expanding revenue growth, while the data centre and artificial intelligence boom drove demand for high-value technology product shipments, supporting cargo performance. Cathay declared a first interim dividend of HK$0.26 per share, totalling HK$1.6 billion, an increase of 30% over the same period last year. Healy said management is cautiously optimistic about passenger and cargo business in the second half, and is on track to achieve the full-year target of around 10% passenger capacity growth, having committed to invest approximately HK$150 billion in fleet, cabins, lounges and digital innovation.
