Juneyao Airlines reports higher revenue but lower profit in first half, net profit down 70%

Juneyao Airlines disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report on August 30. In the first half, it achieved operating revenue of 12.081 billion yuan, up 9.16% year on year, but net profit attributable to the parent company was only 150 million yuan, down 70.27% year on year, showing higher revenue but lower profit. The company said a sharp rise in jet fuel prices pushed up operating costs, becoming the main factor eroding profit. First-half operating costs were 11.237 billion yuan, up 15.17% year on year, growing notably faster than revenue. In addition, non-recurring net profit fell 82.97% year on year to 69.4244 million yuan, putting profitability under pressure. During the reporting period, the company's international available seat kilometers accounted for 32% of the total, but it did not formulate a semi-annual profit distribution plan.

Juneyao Airlines Plans to Repurchase Shares Worth 400 Million to 800 Million Yuan for Equity Incentives

Juneyao Airlines announced that its board of directors has approved a repurchase plan, under which the company will use its own funds to repurchase shares through centralized bidding. The total amount will be no less than 400 million yuan and no more than 800 million yuan. The repurchased shares will be used entirely for employee stock ownership plans or equity incentives. The repurchase price will not exceed 15.00 yuan per share, and the repurchase period will be within 12 months from the date of board approval.
