Coinbase Global IncExpanding Singapore workforce by one-third to 200, focusing on engineering and institutional sales, signals growing demand for crypto services in Asia.

Coinbase Global is expanding its Singapore operations, planning to increase its workforce there by one-third to around 200 employees by the end of 2026. The new hires will focus on engineering, customer service, relationship management, and institutional sales, the company said in a statement. The expansion comes as Coinbase strengthens its presence in Asia, calling Singapore one of the world's most trusted financial hubs. The growth in Asia continues even as Coinbase reduces its global staff by 14% as part of a cost management effort and reorganizes teams around artificial intelligence capabilities. COIN stock has declined 59% in the last 12 months to trade at $162.13 per share.
