D-Wave Quantum Inc. Common StockAT&T expands use of D-Wave's annealing quantum computing technology, with a pilot showing 240x speedup

D-Wave Quantum shares jumped Monday after AT&T announced it is expanding its use of the company's quantum computing technology across its network operations. The expanded deal follows a pilot program in which D-Wave's annealing quantum computing cut processing time for a network optimization workload by 240 times, from roughly one hour to 15 seconds. D-Wave's stock remains down more than 26% in 2026, and the company continues to post relatively little revenue compared to its losses. However, D-Wave reported more than $42 million in remaining performance obligations, a 563% year-over-year increase, which alongside the AT&T deal may signal growing commercial traction.
