The Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X Shares ETF fell 8% through 12:12 p.m. ET after reports that the Trump Administration will allow Apple to buy memory chips from Chinese suppliers ChangXin Memory Technologies and Yangtze Memory Technologies Corp. The decision threatens U.S. memory makers Micron and Sandisk, with Micron being the ETF's largest holding at 8.6%. Micron stock dropped about 5%, while Sandisk fell roughly 6%, and other top holdings including AMD and Nvidia also traded lower. The leveraged ETF had surged 32% in the first two weeks of August before reversing course.
