DraftKings IncLaunches prediction market exchange DKeX, expanding into a new 24/7 engagement platform with strong volume.

DraftKings shares soared on Friday after the company officially launched its prediction markets exchange, DKeX. The rollout marks DraftKings' expansion beyond traditional sports betting into the rapidly growing prediction markets space, which operates 24/7 and is not tied to sports calendars, providing a more stable year-round engagement engine. Last week, DraftKings Predictions generated $3.4 billion in annualized consumer volume and $11.3 billion in annualized total trading volume, driven by interest in the FIFA World Cup and MLB contracts. Citizens raised its price target on DKNG to $36 a share, implying over 45% upside, and analysts estimate the venture could help drive free cash flow to $633 million this year and $1.1 billion by 2027. The stock broke above its 100-day moving average, though Barchart maintains a 44% sell opinion on technical momentum.
