Eaton Corporation PLCEaton's AbleEdge smart breakers are now integrated with FranklinWH's system, expanding market reach and enabling new revenue streams through virtual power plant functionality.

Eaton announced a collaboration with FranklinWH to integrate its AbleEdge smart breakers with the FranklinWH System, making intelligent home energy management easier to install and scale across North America. The joint solution, now available with Eaton as FranklinWH's preferred supplier for load management, adds intelligent load management and virtual power plant functionality for retrofit and new construction projects. Homeowners and contractors can use the FranklinWH App to install, commission, manage, and monitor both technologies, gaining new visibility and control over energy use to extend backup duration and reduce wasted energy. When deployed with participating utilities, the system enables homes to operate as virtual power plants, allowing homeowners to shift or shed demand during peak times and potentially earn revenue or credits by exporting excess power back to the grid.
