Eni S.p.A.Eni's 50% stake in the Bahr Essalam compression project boosts its gas and condensate production.

Eni and Libya's National Oil Corporation have started up a new compression project at the Bahr Essalam gas field offshore Libya. The project is expected to boost natural gas production by approximately 28 billion cubic feet annually and increase condensate output by about 360,000 barrels per year. A new 1,600-ton multi-train compression module was installed on the Sabratha platform, providing total compression capacity of about 440 million cubic feet per day. The increased production is routed to the Mellitah-Misrata coastal pipeline to support gas supplies to power plants and also enables more export to Italy via the Greenstream pipeline. Eni and NOC each hold a 50 percent stake in Bahr Essalam and Greenstream.
