EQT CorporationEQT acquires Copia Power to expand its AI infrastructure portfolio, aligning with its strategy.
EQT has agreed to acquire Copia Power from Carlyle, adding a developer of integrated energy and data center campuses to its U.S. AI infrastructure portfolio. Copia brings over 2.6 gigawatts of generation and storage assets in operation or under construction, and is actively developing more than 9 gigawatts of grid-connected data centers supported by a pipeline of over 25 gigawatts of solar and storage and 7 gigawatts of natural gas generation. The deal aligns with EQT's strategy of investing behind AI-driven infrastructure demand, where energy has become the primary bottleneck for data center growth. EQT will partner with Copia's management to scale the platform and expand its integrated campus model across the U.S. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to customary conditions and approvals.
