Fermi Inc.Fermi's Project Matador advances with TSK's engineering services, supporting its power campus for AI-driven electricity demand.
Fermi America has selected Spanish EPC contractor TSK to provide early works engineering and project management services for three Siemens SGT6-5000F gas turbines that will anchor the second phase of its Project Matador development in Texas. Under the agreement, TSK will carry out engineering and management work to advance permitting, support site mobilization, and oversee the Siemens contract-related engineering scope, aiming to shorten development timelines and reduce execution risk. Project Matador is Fermi America's flagship behind-the-meter power campus designed to supply electricity directly to hyperscale AI and advanced computing facilities, with plans for up to 17 GW through combined-cycle natural gas, nuclear, grid, solar, and battery storage. The three turbines are expected to provide dispatchable generation while longer-term infrastructure is built out, reflecting a broader trend of dedicated power assets for surging AI-driven electricity demand.
