Freedom Holding Corp. has completed the acquisition of 99.32% of the share capital of Turkish Bank A.Ş. through its subsidiary Freedom Finansal Hizmetler A.Ş., marking its formal entry into the Turkish banking sector. The acquired bank has been renamed Freedom Bank A.Ş., and the transaction received required approvals from Türkiye's Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency and the Turkish competition authority. The stake was purchased from entities affiliated with Özyol Holding A.Ş. and National Bank of Kuwait. A new board of directors has been elected, including Timur Turlov, founder and CEO of Freedom Holding Corp. The acquisition lays the foundation for an integrated financial and digital ecosystem in Türkiye, modeled on the company's SuperApp platform in Kazakhstan, which serves more than 14 million customers across banking, brokerage, insurance, and lifestyle services.
