GE Vernova LLCBacklog to surpass $200B by early 2027, driven by data-center electrification orders and robust demand visibility.

GE Vernova told the Morgan Stanley Laguna Conference that its total order backlog will surpass $200 billion in early 2027, sending the shares up 4.5% in the afternoon session. Management said the backlog reached $176 billion in the second quarter of 2026, driven by stronger pricing, higher gas-turbine production run rates, and more than $5 billion in electrification orders from data centers in the first half of the year. Chief Executive Officer Scott Strazik pointed to robust demand visibility and a planned 50% increase in gas power capacity in the current year. The company also projected it will secure $100 billion in cumulative future services revenue by the end of 2027, and said upcoming financial reports will carry further detail on equipment margins and backlog ahead of its spring 2027 capital markets day. The shares closed at $926.75, up 5% from the previous close.
