Generation Mining Limited has secured $340 million in final funding, completing a fully financed construction package of approximately $1.3 billion for its 100%-owned Marathon Copper-Palladium Project near Marathon, Northwestern Ontario. The final funding includes a $200 million bought deal financing, of which approximately $100 million was committed by Canada Growth Fund, Wheaton Precious Metals, and Glencore Canada Corporation, alongside a $40 million private placement by Canada Growth Fund and a $100 million subordinated unsecured convertible note split evenly between Canada Growth Fund and Canada Infrastructure Bank. The bought deal financing covers 312,500,000 common shares at $0.64 per share, with anchor investments of approximately $140 million from Canada Growth Fund and $50 million from Canada Infrastructure Bank. Generation Mining also agreed to terms with Glencore AG on a copper and metal supply contract under which Glencore AG will purchase polymetallic copper concentrate from the Marathon Project, supporting domestic processing at Glencore Canada's Horne smelter in Rouyn-Noranda, Québec, and its CCR refinery. The fully financed construction package includes a $185 million cost overrun facility, a $119 million contingency portion of capital costs, and $78 million in letters of credit, with the board expected to convene and make a final investment decision following completion of all financings comprising the final funding. President and Chief Executive Officer Jamie Levy said early works construction is expected to begin in Q4 2026.
