Alphabet Inc Class CGoogle plans to shift all Pixel production out of China by 2027, reducing geopolitical and trade risks.

Google has told suppliers it plans to have all of its Pixel smartphones, smartwatches and wireless earbuds produced outside China from 2027, Nikkei Asia reported. The move is part of Google's broader strategy to diversify its supply chain and reduce exposure to geopolitical and trade-related risks linked to China. The planned shift would make Google the second major smartphone maker after Samsung to significantly move production out of China. Vietnam and India are emerging as key manufacturing hubs, and the company's successful production of high-end Pixel smartphone models in Vietnam gave its leadership greater confidence in setting the 2027 relocation timeline. Despite rising component costs, Google expects Pixel smartphone shipments to grow by 8%-10% this year from about 12 million units shipped in 2025.
