Kasikornbank Public Company LimitedDividend recognition from KBANK contributes to GULF's profit.
Gulf Development Public Company Limited, or GULF, is on track to post a new record high for core profit in the second quarter of 2026, with analysts forecasting core profit of 11.5 to 11.8 billion baht, a significant increase from both the same period last year and the previous quarter. Key drivers include the recognition of dividends from KBANK of approximately 2.8 billion baht, a gain from the sale of an investment in the Pak Lay hydropower project worth around 1.8 billion baht, and a growing share of profit from associates such as ADVANC. The large-scale power plant business also saw improved performance amid higher electricity demand during the hot season. Krungsri Securities has a target price of 74 baht, Kasikorn Securities 79 baht, Asia Plus Securities 80 baht, and Yuanta Securities the highest target at 91 baht, noting that GULF has an advantage in expanding its data center and AI businesses thanks to its ready land, power plants, and IT infrastructure.
