IDACORP Inc. announced that its board of directors approved a 2.3% increase in its quarterly dividend, lifting the payout to 90 cents per share and an annualized dividend of $3.60. The company's current dividend yield stands at 2.73%, above the Zacks S&P 500 composite yield of 1.44%. IDACORP has raised its dividend every year since 2011, and the latest increase takes the cumulative rise in its annualized dividend since 2011 to nearly 200%. Management aims to keep the dividend payout within its targeted range of 50% to 60%. The company plans to invest nearly $7 billion during the 2026-2030 period, averaging approximately $1.42 billion annually, to strengthen generation capacity and infrastructure at Idaho Power. Separately, American Water Works, Duke Energy and Essential Utilities already increased their annual dividend rates by 8.2%, 1.9% and 5.25%, respectively, in 2026.
