Intel CorporationIntel plans $15B equity offering to fund AI and foundry expansion, following strong Q2 results.
Intel announced plans to offer $15 billion in new stock, its first public equity offering since listing in 1971, to fund AI applications, purpose-built silicon, and foundry expansion. The capital raise follows Intel's strongest quarterly performance in years, with Q2 revenue of $16.1 billion, up 25% year-over-year, and Data Center and AI segment revenue surging 59% to $6.3 billion. Proceeds will support high-volume manufacturing of Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors using ASML's high-NA EUV technology and a €5 billion investment to expand Xeon 6 capacity. The offering comes as Intel ranks fifth among S&P 500 components year-to-date, up 170.79%, and aims to capture growing AI inference demand, with more than 130 customers adopting or testing its processors for edge AI and robotics.
