Operating expenses rose 45.6% to $95.4 million, nearly three times the pace of revenue growth, with servicing expenses up $21.3 million including $9.3 million in higher court costs tied to a larger legal collections channel. Net income came in at $41.3 million, or $0.67 per share, versus adjusted figures of $47.3 million and $0.77 per share, and the company set aside $300 million on August 13 to repay notes due August 17 while carrying $226 million drawn on its revolving credit facility, upsized to $1.15 billion in April.
