Jiangxi Special Electric Motor Co LtdExpects first-half loss of 180-220 million yuan, wider than last year's loss, due to lithium segment challenges.

Jiangte Motor disclosed its earnings forecast, expecting a net loss attributable to shareholders of 180 million to 220 million yuan in the first half of 2026, compared with a loss of 114 million yuan in the same period last year. The company's motor segment is operating steadily, but the lithium segment is facing challenges. The core lithium mine Xikeng has not yet been mined, so lithium ore raw materials are mainly purchased externally, leading to insufficient capacity utilization and high unit production costs. Moreover, the purchase price of externally sourced lithium ore is highly linked to the market price of lithium salts, limiting the profitability of the lithium salt business and resulting in an overall operating loss.
