Jiangxi Special Electric Motor Co LtdCompany expects widened net loss due to core lithium mine not yet mined, forcing external purchases at high cost.

Jiangte Motor disclosed its earnings forecast, expecting a net loss attributable to shareholders of 180 million to 220 million yuan in the first half of 2026, compared with a loss of 114 million yuan in the same period last year. The net loss after deducting non-recurring items is expected to be 80 million to 100 million yuan, compared with a loss of 161 million yuan a year earlier. The company said the main reason for the loss is that the core lithium mine Xikeng in the lithium segment has not yet been mined, and lithium ore raw materials are mainly purchased externally, resulting in insufficient capacity utilization and high unit production costs. In addition, the purchase price of externally sourced lithium ore is highly linked to the market price of lithium salts, limiting the profitability of the lithium salt business. The motor segment is operating steadily.
