Kennametal reported record adjusted earnings per share of $2.96 for its fiscal fourth quarter, up from $0.34 a year earlier, driven by pricing actions and volume gains. Total sales rose 43% to $736.6 million, with organic growth of 42%, while adjusted operating margin expanded to 41.5% from 7.4%. For fiscal 2027, the company expects sales between $3.33 billion and $3.45 billion and adjusted EPS of $4.15 to $5.15, with a midpoint of $4.65 that reflects operational growth offset by interest and currency headwinds. CEO Sanjay Chowbey highlighted strong demand in aerospace, defense, and energy, including a $500 million market for carbon fiber reinforced plastics cutting tools growing 9% annually. CFO Patrick Watson noted that free operating cash flow was negative $79 million for the year due to $593.4 million in inventory build for tungsten, and the company established a $500 million term loan to enhance liquidity.
