Lenovo Group Ltd shares surged as much as 22% in Hong Kong to another record after the Chinese computer maker reported a 43% increase in quarterly revenue, beating analyst estimates by a wide margin and reinforcing optimism around AI-driven demand. The stock extended its gains this year to more than 280%, cementing its position as the top performer on the Hang Seng China Enterprise Index. Citigroup analysts including Kyna Wong wrote that the results delivered a strong broad-based beat, reinforcing the structural AI-driven growth narrative. The market has sharply rerated Lenovo this year, increasingly looking past its legacy PC roots and valuing the company as an AI infrastructure play as surging data-center investment drives demand for its servers. Taiwan-listed peer Asustek Computer Inc also rose 10% after reporting a 61% increase in operating profit for the first half.
