LivaNova announced new data from its PolySync substudy showing that its PolySync programming algorithm increased the cumulative apnea-hypopnea index response rate from 65% to 84.5% in patients with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea treated with proximal hypoglossal nerve stimulation therapy delivered by the aura6000 System. The findings were presented at SLEEP 2026. The PolySync substudy evaluated patients who did not meet responder criteria after one year of individual-contact stimulation in the OSPREY randomized controlled trial, which previously demonstrated a 65% responder rate. The aura6000 System received FDA premarket approval in March. LivaNova is developing a next-generation OSA device with MRI compatibility, remote configuration, and a rechargeable battery with up to 15 years of life, and plans to file a PMA supplement submission in the second half of 2026.
