Intercontinental Exchange IncDecline in exchange energy volumes due to US-Iran ceasefire and AI disruption concerns affecting a small part of ICE's business.

Magellan Global Opportunities Fund reported that Intercontinental Exchange detracted from its performance in the second quarter of 2026. The fund cited a combination of factors including broad concerns about AI disruption to a small part of ICE's business, a decline in exchange energy volumes following a US-Iran ceasefire, US approval of perpetual bitcoin futures, and a more resilient macro outlook with higher rates affecting its mortgage business. Magellan considers these concerns misplaced in aggregate and views ICE as well-positioned to grow earnings at a healthy rate over time. The fund noted that risks from perpetual futures and prediction markets are very low given ICE's limited exposure to retail trading and equities. Intercontinental Exchange shares lost 23.14% over the past 52 weeks, closing at $139.84 on July 15, 2026, with a market capitalization of $79.08 billion.
