Summary · why it matters

Mahle Lifecycle and Mobility has announced the transformation of traditional independent auto repair shops into fully digital service centers through an ecosystem that integrates parts, equipment, diagnostic systems, knowledge, and support services. At its core is the MAHLE Workshop Portal, a cloud platform that consolidates technical data, training courses, repair guidelines, and support services for workshop personnel in a single location. It will make its world debut at Automechanika Frankfurt from September 8 to 12, 2026, in Frankfurt, Germany. Philipp Grosse Kleimann, member of the Mahle management board, said that repair shops are transitioning into service centers for digitally connected and electrically powered vehicles, and Mahle is ready to be a key driver in supporting this transition. In addition, Mahle has developed MAHLE Battery Workshop Support for rapid assessment of high-voltage battery condition, the MAHLE Mobile Service concept for mobile service centers, and is collaborating with Rohde & Schwarz to develop a post-repair radar sensor testing system. It is also preparing to launch the CareMetix Natural cabin air filter, which uses natural materials to reduce carbon footprint. In the aftermarket parts segment, Mahle aims to expand its product range for electric vehicles from around 1,000 items currently to more than 2,000 items by 2030.

Tesla to Operate Megacharging at Three Forum Mobility Truck Depots

Tesla said it will operate public Megacharging locations at three electric-truck depots being developed by Forum Mobility in California, adding a combined 30 megawatts of charging capacity using Tesla's Megawatt Charging System alongside CCS connectors. The announcement came as Tesla shares climbed about 1% Friday morning, lifted by a broader move into consumer-discretionary stocks that also boosted automakers. General Motors, Ford and Stellantis all gained on Thursday, while the consumer-discretionary ETF rose faster than the broader S&P 500, suggesting the advance was partly tied to sector-wide buying rather than a single Tesla catalyst. Broader market conditions were supportive as well, with oil prices falling about 2% and the 10-year Treasury yield declining, helping ease pressure on equities. Tesla's gain therefore reflects both the new charging-network development and the wider rebound across consumer and automotive stocks.
