Meta Platforms Inc.Meta automates 50% of content review via LLMs, reducing costs and improving efficiency.

Meta has replaced about 50% of human review requests with large language models this year, the Financial Times reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The company aims to reduce that figure further by the end of the year, by more than 90% for certain types of content. Meta is also attempting to reduce operating costs by using AI to automate internal processes such as coding, and recently instructed staff to use its new model, Muse Spark, for most of its moderation and customer support. Meta told the FT that the point of this work is to improve enforcement efforts, and that it deploys these more advanced AI systems once it is sure they consistently perform better than current methods.
