Positive toxicokinetic data for SKNY-1 supports advancement of obesity drug candidate.

MIRA Pharmaceuticals reported positive toxicokinetic data for its obesity drug candidate SKNY-1. The study in Beagle dogs showed rapid oral absorption and dose-dependent systemic exposure over seven days. SKNY-1 has previously demonstrated dose-dependent weight loss with lean body mass preservation in preclinical models, and an oral formulation showed bioavailability, robust brain penetration, and substantial liver exposure. The company plans to advance SKNY-1 through GLP-toxicology analyses and studies to support an investigational new drug submission for obesity treatment.
