MP Materials CorpRevenue doubled and EBITDA swung to positive, driven by Pentagon price-protection income.

MP Materials reported second-quarter revenue of about $108 million, an 89% year-over-year increase, while adjusted EBITDA swung to positive $28.5 million from a $12.5 million loss a year earlier. The company received $17.6 million in Pentagon-related price-protection income after market prices for neodymium-praseodymium fell below the $110 per kilogram floor agreed with the Department of Defense. MP Materials has stopped selling rare-earth concentrate to Chinese companies and now processes it in-house, with NdPr oxide and metal revenue rising to $95 million from $25 million a year ago and concentrate revenue falling to zero. The company's next test is whether its second magnet factory, 10X, remains on track for commissioning in 2028.
