Tesla IncCybercab launch with Starlink connectivity and public rides starting signals product advancement.

Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk on Thursday touted a new era in mobility following the Cybercab launch, saying the vehicle's gold color reflects a "literal golden era of transport." Musk also confirmed that the cab will feature Starlink connectivity, allowing passengers to watch 4K live video during rides, and projected that over 30,000 people will work in high-paying jobs at Tesla's headquarters and manufacturing in Austin by 2028. Public Cybercab rides in Austin are set to begin Friday at 5 p.m. CT, according to the official Tesla Robotaxi handle. Investor Ross Gerber of Gerber Kawasaki backed the Cybercab as the first-ever "physical AI EV," while Gary Black of The Future Fund LLC expressed skepticism about high valuation estimates based on autonomous pursuits.
