Neurocrine starts Phase 1 trial of its obesity drug NBIP-'1968, advancing its pipeline.

Neurocrine Biosciences has begun a Phase 1 first-in-human clinical study of NBIP-'1968, an investigational GLP-1/GIP/glucagon receptor triple agonist for obesity. The study will initially evaluate safety and tolerability of single ascending doses in adults across body mass index categories including overweight and obese. NBIP-'1968 is part of a broader obesity portfolio that also includes NBIP-'2118, a corticotropin-releasing factor type 2 receptor agonist currently in Phase 1 development.
