Nokia stock rose 6% to $10.39 after the company said its AI-RAN platform is moving from evaluation into live field trials with eight global operators across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. The named operators advancing proofs of concept and trials include A1 Group, du, e&, Mobily, stc and TPG Telecom. The platform pairs Nokia's AI-native anyRAN software with NVIDIA's Aerial RAN Computer and has already delivered spectral efficiency improvements of more than 20%, letting operators draw more capacity from spectrum they already hold. The move was Nokia-specific: Ericsson rose 0.7% to $10.11 and NVIDIA rose 0.9% to $214.04, while the iShares U.S. Technology ETF was unchanged at $250.08 and the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust gained 0.4% to $760.33. Separately, Nokia said Nokia Defense signed a memorandum of understanding with UK systems engineering and security services company C3IA to support digital transformation across UK defense operations, with both companies participating in the UK Ministry of Defence's TacSys framework.
