Northrop Grumman reported a record backlog of $105 billion and raised its full-year sales and earnings guidance. The company secured $20 billion in net awards during the second quarter, driving a book-to-bill ratio of 1.84 times, while sales increased 5% year-over-year to $10.9 billion. Earnings per share came in at $7.68, benefiting from a lower effective tax rate, and adjusted free cash flow reached nearly $1 billion, a significant increase compared to the prior year. Full-year sales guidance was raised to a range of $43.75 billion to $44.25 billion, and EPS guidance was increased to $28.60 to $29.10, with adjusted free cash flow guidance reaffirmed at $3.1 billion to $3.5 billion.
