NVIDIA CorporationNvidia deploys billions in strategic investments and mobilizes $500B for AI infrastructure
Nvidia is deploying its surging free cash flow into strategic investments, committing at least $6.5 billion to photonics companies including $2 billion each for Lumintum (LITE), Coherent Corporation (COHR), and Marvell Technology (MRVL), plus $500 million for Corning (GLW). The chipmaker also reportedly plans to invest up to $3 billion in privately held Lancium, an energy and data center infrastructure company backed by Blackstone, taking an initial 20% stake for $2 billion with a potential additional $1 billion tied to performance targets. Lancium owns the 1.2-gigawatt Lancium Clean Campus in Abilene, Texas, site of the $500 billion Stargate project. Nvidia's free cash flow has grown from $3.8 billion in fiscal 2023 to $96.67 billion in fiscal 2026, and the company is working with Blackstone, BlackRock, Apollo, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR to mobilize over $500 billion in third-party capital for AI infrastructure.
