NVIDIA announced the Vera Rubin platform delivers world-class supercomputers for science, combining native double-precision performance, CUDA-X libraries, and the full-stack capabilities of the NVIDIA AI platform. A single Vera Rubin rack packs more than 7 exaflops of AI for science and 5 petaflops of native FP64 performance, matching systems on the TOP500 list of the world's most powerful supercomputers. Leading supercomputing centers are adopting the platform: Leibniz Supercomputing Centre's Blue Lion, the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center's Doudna at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and Los Alamos National Laboratory's Mission, Vision, and Veritas systems will all be powered by Vera Rubin. Global system manufacturers including Bull, Dell Technologies, GIGABYTE, HPE, and Supermicro are bringing Vera Rubin NVL4-based systems to market, with availability expected in the fourth quarter of this year.
