Optex Systems announced Thursday it won a $2.79 million contract for laser filter units linked to the XM157 Next-Generation Fire Control Scope, with deliveries scheduled from January 2027 through October 2027. The new order pushes the company's total backlog to more than $26.5 million. Bill Bates, general manager of Applied Optics Center, Optex Systems' optical products division, said the company will continue improving product yields while meeting performance requirements for the U.S. military.
