PTT Global Chemical Public Company LimitedTight supply due to Middle East tensions lifts product spreads and bargaining power, boosting profit expectations.

PTTGC shares rose 3.33% to 38.75 baht in morning trade, as investors speculated on strong second-quarter 2026 earnings. Krungsri Securities said profit could more than double from a year earlier, as global petrochemical supply tightens due to Middle East tensions, lifting product spreads and boosting producers' bargaining power. Refining margins also beat expectations on lower-than-expected crude premiums and smaller stock losses, while olefins profits came in higher than forecast. The outlook for the second half of 2026 remains supported by no planned major refinery shutdowns unlike last year, and lower fixed costs will continue to underpin performance.
