Qnity Electronics, IncStrong earnings beat and analyst upgrades driving stock surge

Qnity Electronics shares have surged 97.4% year-to-date and 93.8% over the past six months, far outpacing the Nasdaq Composite's 10.1% and 8.6% returns over the same periods. Valued at $36.8 billion by market cap, the Wilmington, Delaware-based semiconductor materials and solutions company has gained 40.3% over the past three months, compared with the Nasdaq's 16.6% advance. The stock has been trading above its 100-day moving average since late March and above its 50-day moving average since early January. On May 12, Qnity shares jumped 9.9% after reporting first-quarter net sales of $1.3 billion, up 17.6% year over year, and adjusted earnings per share of $1.08, a 33.3% increase. Wall Street analysts rate the stock a consensus Strong Buy with a mean price target of $177.86, implying a potential upside of 10.3% from current levels.
