Qualcomm has signed deals to supply AI processing chips to three major hyperscalers, including Microsoft and Meta Platforms. The company expects its data center business to generate at least $15 billion in revenue by fiscal 2029, up from none a year ago, compared to total fiscal 2025 revenue of $44.3 billion. Microsoft's Azure cloud platform will use Qualcomm's HBC chips alongside the AI200 and AI250 accelerators starting next year, while Meta's next-generation server fleet will be powered by the Dragonfly C1000 CPU as part of a multi-generation collaboration. Qualcomm says its architecture delivers 4 to 8 times more computing performance per watt than existing GPU-based solutions, addressing a key industry challenge. The company also projects that revenues beyond mobile handsets will grow by an average of 40% per year through 2029, driven by automotive and IoT segments.
