Quantum Computing IncQ2 revenue and backlog growth, plus capex plan for Fab 2 upgrades

Quantum Computing Inc. outlined a capital expenditure plan of $50 million to $100 million for upgrades at its newly acquired NHanced Semiconductors facility, part of its Fab 2 initiative. CFO Christopher Roberts said the spending range is probably closer to $75 million but noted the company is still in the planning stages and unlikely to spend near that amount this year. The disclosure came during the company's second-quarter 2026 earnings call, where CEO Dr. Yuping Huang highlighted the completion of the NHanced acquisition, which launched Fab 2 ahead of schedule and expands advanced packaging and semiconductor manufacturing capabilities. The company also reported that its NeuraWave photonic reservoir computing platform reached commercial readiness, with a framework agreement from Planck Dynamics carrying a potential aggregate program value of more than $10 million. Q2 revenue rose to $5.6 million from $3.7 million in the prior quarter, while contract backlog increased to $42.5 million from $16 million.
