Coinbase Global IncCLARITY Act passage could boost crypto industry jobs and economy, benefiting Coinbase as a major employer.

Ripple's chief legal officer, Stuart Alderoty, has linked the passage of the CLARITY Act to potential job creation and economic growth in the United States, stating on X that "a vote for Clarity is a vote for jobs and economic growth." This follows new research from the National Cryptocurrency Association, produced with Pragmatic Policy Group, estimating that the crypto industry supports 232,000 jobs across the country in 2026, with about 34,000 direct positions at companies like Ripple and Coinbase, and 75,000 more supported by suppliers and contractors. The sector contributes over $55 billion to the U.S. economy and generates roughly $31 billion in worker income, with California leading at 57,600 supported jobs, followed by New York at 53,800 and Texas at 26,500. Average pay in these jobs is about $133,000, compared to the national median of $64,000. The CLARITY Act, which passed the House in July 2025 by a 294-134 vote, remains in limbo in the Senate, where a cloture vote is scheduled for September 15.
