Rocket Lab's contract backlog has grown to more than $2 billion, driven by its expanding Space Systems segment which now surpasses its launch business. The company's stock has soared 190% over the past 12 months, and first-quarter 2026 revenue jumped 63.5% to just over $200 million. Rocket Lab is preparing to enter medium-lift launches with its reusable Neutron rocket, targeting a debut in late 2026, which will compete with SpaceX's Falcon 9 and has already secured a deal with the Space Force. While the company is not yet profitable and trades at 73 times trailing sales, the successful launch of Neutron could bring it closer to profitability and offers significant long-term upside potential.
