MFC Asset Management Public Company LimitedROH disputes MFC's payment method adjustment and asserts repurchase right, potentially affecting MFC's role as trustee.

Royal Orchid Hotel (Thailand) Public Company Limited, or ROH, has clarified to the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding the debt extension granted to GRAND and confirmed that its right to repurchase the property of the Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel Bangkok has not expired. The ROH board has resolved to extend the repayment period of a 4 billion baht loan to GRAND, its 97% major shareholder, by another two years, as GRAND faces liquidity issues and accelerating debt enforcement would not secure funds in time for the repurchase deadline of July 14, 2026. Meanwhile, ROH stated that sending an authorized representative to the land office on that date was to clarify objections and reserve rights, after MFC, as trustee, adjusted the payment method via BAHTNET, which did not comply with the agreement. Most recently, on August 14, 2026, ROH signed a preliminary agreement with a new financial partner, an experienced fund, to support capital for the property repurchase, and has sent letters to MFC and Wann Asset Management to confirm readiness to exercise the repurchase right at a price of 4.873 billion baht. The hotel continues to operate normally.
