RTX Corporation is expanding its defense communications capabilities through its subsidiary Collins Aerospace, which in 2025 was awarded a contract to deliver satellite communication systems supporting survivable communications across multiple frequency bands. Collins Aerospace also secured a role as the primary subcontractor for a U.S. Navy solution involving the engineering design and manufacturing of a Very Low Frequency communication subsystem, along with mission command, control and communications infrastructure, and is additionally supporting Advanced Extremely High Frequency and voice communications. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 and 2027 earnings per share suggests year-over-year growth of 14.79% and 7.60%, respectively. RTX is trading at a premium relative to the industry, with a forward 12-month price-to-sales of 2.62X compared with the industry average of 2.28X, and over the past year RTX shares have rallied 23.5% against the industry's 11.3% decline.
