Salesforce.com IncStrong Q2 earnings and raised guidance driven by AI growth

Salesforce shares surged 22.6% on August 27 after the company reported solid fiscal Q2 results and issued upbeat guidance, driven by strong momentum from its agentic AI platform Agentforce, Data 360, and Slack. Agentforce's annual recurring revenue surged more than 240% to $1.5 billion, while Data 360's ARR tripled to $2.4 billion; combined, the two platforms' ARR climbed 210% year over year to $3.9 billion. Overall revenue jumped 11% to $11.35 billion, at the high end of guidance, and adjusted EPS skyrocketed 103% to $5.90, though that included a $2.6 billion gain from its investment in Anthropic; excluding that gain, adjusted EPS would have been around $3.43, still above the $3.27 consensus. The company raised its full-year revenue guidance to $46.1–$46.4 billion and adjusted EPS to $16.67–$16.71, and for fiscal Q3 it forecasts revenue of $11.42–$11.5 billion and adjusted EPS of $3.42–$3.44. Despite the rebound, the stock trades at a forward P/E of 16 and a forward price-to-sales multiple of 4, making it an attractive growth-at-a-reasonable-price opportunity.
