SanDisk and Japanese partner Kioxia announced this week a joint investment of more than $31 billion over six years to expand NAND flash capacity in Japan, including roughly $11.3 billion for a new facility at Kioxia's Kitakami plant to produce jointly developed tenth-generation BiCS Flash. The plan, which relies on Japanese government support, is a proposal at this stage, and SanDisk's share of the investment has not been disclosed. CEO David Goeckeler highlighted that the company now has over four years of revenue visibility, backed by $16.5 billion in customer financial guarantees, with remaining performance obligations reaching $91.1 billion including two agreements signed after quarter-end. SanDisk shares closed at $1,484.98 on Friday, up 525.57% year to date, after fiscal fourth-quarter revenue surged 371.59% to $8.96 billion with non-GAAP EPS of $39.25.
