Sandoz receives ANVISA approval for Owozy, enabling launch in Brazil's $1.8B diabetes market.

Sandoz Group AG has received marketing authorization from Brazil's health regulator ANVISA for Owozy, a new semaglutide treatment for type-2 diabetes. The approval enables a launch in the second half of 2026, with the drug to be available in a pre-filled multi-dose disposable pen. Owozy was developed by Adalvo and is commercialized in Brazil by Sandoz, entering a market estimated at USD 1.8 billion. Sandoz stated the approval has no impact on its 2026 financial guidance, with commercial contribution expected after the launch later this year.
