South Korea's SK hynix plans to raise 45.45 trillion won, equivalent to $29 billion, through a Nasdaq listing of American Depositary Receipts. Proceeds will fund chip facilities including its first fab at the Yongin semiconductor cluster, an advanced packaging facility in Cheongju, and chipmaking equipment. SK hynix, a key supplier to Nvidia, stated the listing aims to broaden its investor base and elevate its global status in the US, the epicenter of AI innovation. Its Seoul-listed shares have surged more than 300 percent this year, and its market value topped $1 trillion for the first time in May.
