STMicroelectronics reported second-quarter 2026 net revenue of $3.49 billion, a 23.3% year-over-year increase, and raised its 2027 data center revenue ambition to well above $2 billion. Gross margin reached 34.8%, up 130 basis points from a year ago, while non-U.S. GAAP diluted earnings per share came in at $0.31. The company cited strong demand in Communication Equipment, Computer Peripherals, and Automotive, with a book-to-bill ratio close to 2 overall and significantly above 2 in the Communication Equipment and Computer Peripherals segment driven by optical connectivity. For the third quarter, STMicroelectronics guided for revenue of $3.7 billion at the midpoint and a gross margin of about 37%, and it expects fourth-quarter revenue to exceed $4 billion, fueled by customer programs in AI data centers and Low Earth Orbit satellite communications. The company also confirmed its $18 billion revenue target for 2028, contingent on completing its manufacturing reshaping program.
