MicroStrategy IncorporatedStrategy skipped Bitcoin buy for fifth week, sold MSTR stock to raise cash, and disclosed preferred stock buyback, indicating capital management shift away from Bitcoin accumulation.

Strategy went a fifth straight week without buying Bitcoin, adding $525 million to its cash reserve and lifting the balance to $3.75 billion. The company sold 5,429,160 shares of MSTR common stock through its at-the-market program between July 20 and July 26, generating $544.5 million in net proceeds, while its Bitcoin holdings stayed at 843,775 BTC. The reserve covers 2.1 years of dividend payments against $1.76 billion owed annually in preferred dividends and debt interest. Strategy also disclosed its first buyback of preferred stock, repurchasing 288,930 Stretch shares for $25 million under a $1 billion Digital Credit Securities Repurchase Program approved on June 29, leaving $975 million available. The shift follows a capital management framework authorizing up to $1.25 billion in Bitcoin sales to top up reserves, though the firm has raised cash by selling MSTR stock instead, with $22.98 billion of MSTR capacity remaining.
