Strategy shares opened lower on Monday after the company disclosed it sold another $108.6 million worth of Bitcoin. The firm sold 1,690 Bitcoin between August 3 and August 9 at an average price of $64,262, according to an SEC filing, and used the proceeds to repurchase 1.15 million shares of its STRC preferred stock. This marks the second consecutive week of Bitcoin sales, following a $104.7 million disposal the prior week, and comes after Strategy reported an $8.22 billion net loss for the second quarter driven by an $8.32 billion unrealized loss on its Bitcoin holdings. Following the latest transaction, Strategy held 840,447 Bitcoin acquired for $63.36 billion at an average price of $75,385 per coin.
